Left: Image is from one of the windows in our upstairs workspace. Today was a busier day and you can hear a lot from below. Middle: Image shows some notes I left on a folder that I was working. I do this for reminders for my next shift or if I need to ask the curator a question about mistakes I see. Right: Image is of a document in our collection. Nothing special about this letter but I enjoy I have the sign off their letter, very formal.
When I arrived at the museum today I went straight upstairs, grabbed my box and got my set up all organized. It was a quiet morning upstairs until we opened and started to get visitors.
To give more context to the post it notes image I shared above, there were two documents that had object IDs that did not match up to the worksheet that went along with those documents. I was unsure if I needed to change the object ID on each paper or if they were in the wrong stack of documents. Since the curator was not in, I left it as it was to figure of for another day.
We had an extern come in today. I did not know what this was prior my internship. Round Rock ISD has a program for their teachers during the summer to do hours for their professional development requirements. A middle school teacher came in and worked on a lesson plan that tied into some of the programs offered by the education department at the museum. They were even able to set up a day for the museum staff to visit her classroom once school starts.
